In case you haven't heard, we here at ISSA are hard at work for the Foundation Beyond Belief's campaign to raise $1,000,000 for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society! And there's good news: We're now more than half way to our $2K fundraising goal! But we're not done just yet! Read on for details...
LLS Fundraising on the Quad
We'll take to the Quad from noon to 4pm this Wednesday to do "Hug An Atheist" for a third time -- $1 for awesome atheist hugs to raise money for a great cause! We hope you'll drop by to hug or be hugged, and/or join our fundraising team.
Weekly Meeting
This week's meeting will take place Thursday, Oct. 11th at 7:00pm in 1090 Lincoln Hall. NOTE THE CHANGE BACK TO OUR OLD ROOM! Click here for a map.
On The Agenda
Thus begins our month-long examination of secularism and politics leading up to the election! We'll watch footage of a pertinent talk from former Maine legistator (and current Director of Strategy and Policy for the Richard Dawkins Foundation) Sean Faircloth, then break off into small groups for discussion.
ISSA at Murphy's
After the meeting, we'll adjourn to Murphy's, as is our tradition. We welcome anyone and everyone who can make it, regardless of whether or not you plan to drink. It's a great chance to get to know your godless cohorts better!
Superstition Party
Walk under ladders, break mirrors, pet a black cat, or get your fortune read at ISSA's first party of the year this Saturday, Oct. 13th at 8:30pm at Neal's Place in Urbana! Cups are $5, memories are priceless. RSVP via the Facebook event page or email us for the address.
