Excerpt (3minute mark) Look, I'm from a Muslim background.. my family is Muslim, I was Muslim etc.., [...] they are choosing to get offended. It's a total choice, they don't have to get offended at all. It's like they're looking for a reason to get offended.

The male commentator seems to think that there will be no violent fall-out from these chalking events on the part of atheists or secularists. Perhaps collegiate academics are able to walk the fine line of which part of a Muslim person they aren't comfortable with (ostensibly his religious beliefs, not his ethnicity), but take a look at who else is falling in line. Read some of the comments on the Youtube video(s) that was posted to support/advertise the May 20th event- even the one that is linked on this blog. There is as much hatred and xenophobia coming from this event's supporters as the original death threats they're protesting in the first place.
Expected response: Well, the AAF/AHA groups at UIUC, UW and NU can't and shouldn't be held responsible for the words or actions of racist, ignorant fringe crazies.
Sounds familiar.
