God is not the Creator, claims academicI wonder if this means that the Offspring's "Come Out and Play (Keep 'Em Separated" is a religious song... Those geniacs were ahead of their time.
Professor Ellen van Wolde, a respected Old Testament scholar and author, claims the first sentence of Genesis "in the beginning God created the Heaven and the Earth" is not a true translation of the Hebrew.
She claims she has carried out fresh textual analysis that suggests the writers of the great book never intended to suggest that God created the world -- and in fact the Earth was already there when he created humans and animals.

A scholar has recently argued that God is not the creator in an ex-nihilo sense (created the universe from nothing) but more of a separator, where the universe already existed but he/she/it separated it into the heavens and the earth. I guess that means the universe is more like a mashup. I hope God doesn't get sued for copyright infringement.
